Your Hyundai Kona N deserves an exhaust system as sharp as it is. The XForce VAREX Valved Cat-Back System has been purpose-built for the Kona N — designed, developed, and extensively tested to extract the best possible sound and performance from the 2.0L turbocharged N engine. The result is a system that crackles, pops, and roars when you want it to, and stays refined and quiet when you need it to. It bolts directly to the factory cat converter for a clean, straightforward installation, and is finished in brushed 304 stainless steel with 4.5" double wall polished tips that look as good as they sound.

The built-in VAREX valve gives you full control over the exhaust note — and paired with the optional VAREX Smartbox (sold separately), you can set RPM-based, speed-based, throttle-based, or GPS geo-fenced automatic valve control from your smartphone. Drive mode integration is also available with the Smartbox BiModal Integration Cable (part #BMC01), letting your Kona N's own N Mode trigger the valve automatically.

Does this bolt directly onto the Kona N?
Yes — ESHY35VKCS bolts directly to the factory cat converter on the Hyundai Kona N 2.0L Turbo Sedan from July 2021 onwards. All required gaskets, nuts, and bolts are included.

What does the VAREX valve do?
The VAREX valve is a patent-protected electronically controlled valve built into the rear muffler. Opening it increases exhaust volume and enhances the crackle and pop character of the Kona N's engine. Closing it brings the system back to a refined, quiet note. You control it via the included remote or optionally via the Smartbox app.

Can I control it from my phone?
Yes — with the optional VAREX Smartbox (VKSB01, sold separately), you can control the valve via a Bluetooth smartphone app, set automatic modes based on RPM, throttle, speed or GPS location, and save custom presets.

Can I integrate it with the Kona N's drive modes?
Yes — drive mode integration is available using the BiModal Integration Cable (part #BMC01, sold separately). This allows your Kona N's N Mode to automatically trigger the VAREX valve to open.

Can the valve be fully closed in N Mode?
No — when N Mode is active, the VAREX valve must be at a minimum of 25% open. Fully closing the valve while in N Mode is not recommended.

What is the warranty on this product?
XForce 304 stainless steel exhaust systems carry a 60-month (5-year) manufacturer's warranty from the date of invoice — one of the best warranties in the industry. Your tax invoice is provided with your order.

Will I need a tune after fitting?
No tune is required. Your Kona N will run correctly straight off the install.

I'll start by saying I do love this exhaust. Sounds great. Quality materials. True value for money. Simple(*) enough to put together too. What wasn't simple was the clamp joiner - connects new xforce to downpipe- what a PITA although absolutely no fault of Xforce, I just wasn't aware before I started the install. The cast Y pipe at the back was a surprise, again didn't expect it - it's unique. I did expect the drone at 1700 - 2000 rpm and I'm good with that as I didn't use the supplied mid muffler. The reason I'm giving 4/5 is the fact I had to take 4.5cm off the drivers side and 2cm off the passenger side to get the tips to look "right" and not stick out too far/look offset As I mentioned great price, also SUPER fast deliver.

Express postage was fast and it turned up packaged very well. The welds weren't as pretty as I would have expected although nothing wrong with them and still looks to be a high quality unit. Everything fit 100% exact, and once you fit all of the OEM heat shields and reinstall all the sensors ect it looks indistinguishable from the factory dpf filter. Hard to get a good photo fitted but I have included some anyway. Definately a better purchase than a straight replacement pipe or smashing out the internals of the factory dpf
